Hub vs no-hub
Hub plates have a raised central collar that locates into the mincer body. No-hub (flat) plates are used in machines with a fixed central drive pin. Pull your existing plate and match — if there's a boss in the middle, you need a hub plate.
Pairs with
Refresh the cutting set with a Salvador No.32 mincer blade or Torrey No.32 mincer blade. A new blade against a worn plate is half a job — replace as a pair.
FAQ
Which machines does the No.32 plate fit?
Every mincer marked "size 32" or "No.32" — Salvador, Sirman, Kolbe, La Minerva, Brice, Vivo, Talsa, Mainca and others. The size designation is standardised across European butchery equipment.
What's the difference between a 32 and a 42 plate?
The 32 is smaller in diameter and used in mid-size commercial mincers. The 42 (often badged 52/42) is for heavy-duty production machines. The plates aren't interchangeable.
How long should a No.32 plate last?
In a busy butcher's shop, 6–12 months between replacements is typical. Signs the plate has gone: warm mince, smearing, longer cycle times, blade pulling against the plate.
